A scholarship is when someone gives you money to help pay for school. For example, if you are really good at playing the piano, you might get a scholarship to go to a music school. That means you don't have to pay as much money to go to school because someone is helping you.

Another example of a scholarship is when you are really good at sports, like playing soccer or basketball. If you are really good, a coach might give you a scholarship to go to their school. That means you can play your favorite sport and go to school at the same time!
