Provincial means that something is related to a specific area or region. For example, if you live in a small town, you can say that you are from a provincial town.

Provincial can also mean that someone has limited knowledge or experience about things outside of their own area. For example, if someone only knows about the things happening in their own town and doesn't know much about the world, we can say that they have a provincial mindset.
