Probability is a way to talk about how likely something is to happen. For example, let's say you have a bag of colored balls. There are 5 red balls and 5 blue balls. If you close your eyes and pick a ball without looking, the probability of picking a red ball is 5 out of 10, because there are 5 red balls out of a total of 10 balls.
