literally

Literally means something is exactly true or exactly what it says.

For example, if I say 'I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse,' but I don't really mean I want to eat a horse. I'm just saying I'm very hungry. But if someone says 'I'm so hungry, I could literally eat a horse,' they mean they are extremely hungry and could actually eat a whole horse!
