Something that is inevitable is something that is bound to happen, no matter what.

For example, imagine you have a big bowl of ice cream. If you leave it out in the hot sun for a long time, what do you think will happen? That's right, the ice cream will melt! It is inevitable that the ice cream will melt because of the hot sun.
