Correlate is a word that means two things are connected or related to each other. For example, let's say you have a red ball and a blue ball. When you bounce the red ball, the blue ball also bounces. The bouncing of the blue ball is the correlate of the bouncing of the red ball. They are connected because when one bounces, the other bounces too.
